SAFETY AND HANDLING

This glaze is non-flammable but hazardous and care should be taken not to inhale dust particles generated during handling or application. Refer to the relevant Material Safety Data Sheet for more specific information on this subject.

Note from Alex

191D glaze contains a small percentage of fritted lead. While fritted lead is safer to handle than raw lead, it requires careful use during mixing (use a mask, gloves, and work outdoors). For food safety, avoid applying this glaze to food contact surfaces unless leach testing confirms it is safe. For mugs and similar items, pair 191D with a food-safe liner glaze inside and apply 191D on the exterior for a worry-free, decorative finish.
