Kiln Wire

Kanthal wire has many uses. It is the material used to make electric Kiln Elements.

This high temperature armature wire may be incorporated into the actual structure to support your sculpture at the making stage.

The wire is easily shaped, but the larger diameter wires from swg 10 (3.25 mm diameter) to swg 22 (0.7 mm diameter) may require pliers or pincers to hold and bend the wires.

This wire is suitable for firing up to 1300°C, after firing the wire becomes a dull matt dark grey colour.
