Nerikomi Serving Plate

Next size down from the Cake Plate, the large plate is the perfect size dinner plate. 

Our ceramic ware is proudly created in the Mystery Creek Ceramics studio using traditional methods and innovative processes.

Nerikomi technique originated in the East and means the folding of coloured clay.  This technique facilitates random surface design which offers unique individual pieces.   Share in the joyful satisfaction of the idiosyncratic beauty of each variant, even coming from the same block of coloured clay.

Large approximate size: 2cm tall by 24cm wide

Medium approximate size: 2cm tall by 20cm wide

Small approximate size: 2cm tall by 13cm wide

Please note that we are phasing out the matte/satin glaze on the black and dark green colours as they look so much more vibrant with a gloss finish.

Also note due to the nature of this nerikomi process that the item you receive may not be exactly as pictured due to natural warping of the porcelain clay and slight differences in the design due to the different layers in the block that they are built from.
