Here at Mystery Creek Ceramics we are passionate about helping you find a creative way to express yourself, especially if that way involves clay. Clay can be tricky and we have been working hard to make it simple for you to get started. We know from experience that once you get your hands into clay there’s no going back and you’ll be obsessed for life!
It’s been our absolute pleasure to work with Mac’s Mud clay company and Kiwi Underglaze to produce four ‘make your own’ and ‘paint your own’ clay kits!
There will be three types of making kits; ‘make your own mug’, ‘make your own bowl’, ‘make your own dream creation’ and the fourth will be a ‘paint your own clay kit’—we want your creativity to flourish so have plenty of options! All of these kits have been made with Mac’s Mud studio white clay and Kiwi Underglazes, all of which are made locally in the Waikato and are favourites for use in the Mystery Creek Ceramic studio.
These kits will be available from the 16th of March with limited presales available. The launch day is already an exciting one as Alex’s studio will be open in Kihikihi as part of the Waipa Creative Trail. You can come into store or to the studio to purchase your kits and get started with your clay creations.
All the firing costs are included with the clay kits; to get your items fired simply drop them off to the Mystery Creek Ceramics store.
